Native American Literature, Kinship
Prompt Response: A time I felt kinship with nature is when I go to New York. The squirrels come up to people sometimes and people feed them and it's a normal occurrence. I feel as if this is kinship because usually people shoo squirrels away, ignore them, or the squirrels are scared of them but my example shows a peaceful interaction. This is also kinship because it's an example of a non domesticated animal being treated as we treat dogs, cats, etc. Another example is with the pigeons, which are fed just like the squirrels.
Summary: Today's lesson was about Native American Literature and origin myths.
Reflection: Today I learned the different characteristics of an origin myth and the definition of allusion.
