4.5 week grades..Experience in American Literature so far.

Prompt Response:  So far in American Literature I have been doing well.The only thing that I would say needs to be improved are these blogger posts.I frequently forget because it is blocked on my school computer so its a bit hard to get to. I think Google Docs would benefit all students who can't get to Blogger because not everyone has personal computers. Other than that I need to start turning in work on time.

Summary: Today we did Emily Dickinson Quotes Analysis.

Reflection:  I learned how to analyze poetry.

A fear I've overcome.

 A fear I have overcome is public speaking. When it comes to public speaking I just get really nervous and anxiety and I used to just not do class presentations. Now I still have that fear but I try to overcome it each project at a time. A fear I have not over come yet, that I want to, is my fear of failure. Sometimes I won't do things because I think I may not do it correctly or how I would like to do it and I think that I can overcome this fear by trying new things.

When my heart and mind want two different things

Prompt Response:  A time when my mind and heart wanted two different things is when people told me I shouldn't speak to a particular person because they weren't good for me. My mind told me I should listen but my heart told me to disregard it. I listened to my heart because if I didn't listen to my heart I know I would've always wondered what would've happened if I didnt. Listening to your mind will usually give logical outcomes; predictable outcomes. I rather live what it could be than to wonder. Summary: Todays assignment was a project representing logic versus feeling. Reflection:   I learned how to connect words with certain themes.
